Have I mentioned that I am not the strong one in this relationship...Mr. Gaston is. We are here on earth to be tried and tested and through these trials and tests we become stronger both mentally and spiritually. After our trip back from Utah we drove down to the valley to see Grandad because we didn't know when we would see him again. He passed away the next day. Mr. Gaston was asked to give his Eulogy, and when Mr. Gaston speaks he has this presence, he doesn't seem nervous (however later he told me that he felt like his heart was going to pound out of his chest) he has great composure however he did get over come with emotion a few times but very gracefully composed himself and finished the task at hand. He did a wonderful job and brought me to tears of how he told about the life of his Grandad and I know his Grandad would have been very proud. At the cemetery they had a full military honors where they played the song and then shoot the guns, it was very emotional especially when they gave the flag to his daughter. He will forever be remembered in our mind and hearts, but we have peace knowing he is in a better place with his wife.
