It was a cold windy day which made me worry only because I knew two little people who were anticipating trick or treating (maybe just one). She had been gearing up for it since her Halloween party at school. I wasn't suprised it was cold because it seems every year it is freezing when we go from house to house.
She insisted on being Beauty, however I worried because I thought she would trip on her dress and that she did when we made a quick stop at the city trunk or treat to see the BIG gorilla that the dealership had on display. Mr. Gaston had worked so hard the day before getting it all prepared, putting more than six hundred lights in it to light him up only to be disappointed because the spotlights drowned the lights he put inside him out.
When I first put his costume on he cried and he kept looking at me like "why did you put this on me, this fur is hitting my face" however later he ended up carrying it around everywhere he went. He had the best seat in the stroller being pushed by his daddy and didn't attempt to get out until the end of the night when he was exhausted and just fell asleep in my arms.
This wagon carried Riley most all the way around, she didn't want to get out except to go up to a house and then she would come back and get right back in....even if the next house was a few feet away if I didn't put her back in she cried
(she missed her nap for the day....not a good thing when you have a busy night of trick or treating)
This was the last house we went to and Riley being the sweet little princess took her little brother by the hand and led him up to the house, even said trick or treat for him.
His first and only house he trick or treated.
As we were walking back to the house from the Country Club little miss Riley was pulling the wagon acting like a horse (this is not the first time) however she does talk she also makes yyeee noises (horse noises) and kept telling everyone that she was a horse named Tulapai. She had another fall but her dad handled it well and told the horse to get back up and that she was alright....she continued making horse noises and making all of us laugh. It was a good night, even though there were not many houses to get candy from we had fun and enjoyed the company we were with!
